Obesity involves a certain amount of weight gain, and is calculated using a body mass index scale. People who are obese have a large quantity of fat (adipose cell) deposits. One of the more common risks of obesity is joint damage and back pain. It is difficult for a person’s knees and back to support an excessive amount of weight on a daily basis. This could result in extreme joint damage and the loss of mobility. Obesity can lead to diabetes, which is associated with a wide array of medical complications. Obesity is a disease that is often associated with poor lifestyle choices. There may be some genetic or metabolic disorders that lead to obesity, however majority of causes is linked to poor lifestyle choices. They may have a diet that is rich in sugar and fat, and they may not exercise on a regular basis. Adult diabetes is caused by the body’s inability to produce insulin. This could be cause by overconsumption of sugar and fat. Heart disease is another risk of obesity. Fat not only builds up on the outside of the body, but on the inside of the body as well.
